Modern Greece is a good camping destination, acceptable infrastructure and many tourist attraction. The classic landscapes of Macedonia, Thessaly, Central Greece, Attica and the Peloponnesus were also known for their beauty and variety in ancient Greece.

From the beginning, the Homeric epics, the Greek mythologies, the scientist and philosophers will we hear about during this trip. The stores about the Macedonian kings Philipp II and Alexander the Great will keep us in suspense same as the wars amongst the city states, the fight against the Persian Empire and other conquests. All these cultures have left evidence for us to see.

Still, we do not want to turn this into a study tour for ancient philologists. The Greek cuisine, the wine cellars, the market, the beaches and a train ride will delight us.
